KS1 BLOG AUTUMN 2
A really busy week to start the new half term.
Reception children found out all about the festival of Diwali. They took part in a dance workshop.
Year One and Two were fascinated by the visit of the ambulance driver who talked about her job and what she does.
All classes also took part in outdoor learning. Having activities outside for a range of subjects.
The children also commemorated 100 years since the end of WW1 by creating artwork for a school display, a display in Upminster library and making poppies to be displayed around our school grounds.
FRIDAY 15th November saw the school go dotty with spots for Children in Need. As you can see children AND staff got into the spirit of the event and raised money for the cause.
Year One and EYFS enjoyed visits to the post box and the Methodist Church as part of their topic learning.
All our classes produced goods for the EPFA Christmas Fayre which sold out in record time!
All the children in KS1 performed to parents/carers as part of their Christmas festivities.
Year 2 held their 2nd annual regatta to test their boats …. We all helped to blow them along!
